SPRINGette

Feb. 22, 2023

Nova Central is happy to announce that our Springette Scrimmage Program is open for registration!!

We are offering this program to NEXT season’s U10 and U12 division participants.  At this time we are accepting registrations from birth years 2012 and 2013 for the U12 program, and from birth years 2014 and 2015 for the U10 program.  You must register for the coordinating division of your player’s birth year.

The Springette program consists of 6 ice times, held every Sunday at BMO beginning April 2nd and running through to, and including, May 14th.  All sessions are at 6pm for U10 and 7pm for U12; with the exception of April 16th which is as 3:15pm for U10 and 4:15pm for U12.

These are scrimmages ONLY.  We plan to have referees for all ice times.  No friend requests, teams will change from session to session based on balancing/attendance.  All skill levels are welcome. The primary goal of these sessions is to pickup/develop new and existing gameplay skills, meet new friends, and have fun.  Certified coaches will be on the benches; please watch for volunteer opportunities.

The fee to register is $125. NCRA Members can use 50/50 credits towards the registration fee.  To use credits, choose the etransfer payment option when registering in RAMP.  You will then need to email your team manager or 50/50 coordinator to let them know you have registered and want to use your credits.  They will coordinate that direction with NCRA 50/50 and you will then be responsible to pay the remaining balance.  Please confirm your available credit PRIOR to etransfer payment so all records match. Refunds can only be requested up to and including April 1st.  Partial or full refunds will not be given on or after April 2nd. Full payment must be received prior to April 2nd to participate.

GOALIES can register for free if they are 100% full-time goalies for all their division scrimmage sessions; should interest exceed that which is feasible, goalies may be rotated through the sessions to give the best development opportunities.  Those without goalie gear but that are interested in being a full-time goalie for these sessions can reach out direct to their Association if they need to borrow goalie gear.

NOTE: this program is being offered to both NCRA and Halifax Hurricanes Ringette Association members only.  Both the U10 and U12 divisions will have 30 skater spots open; 20 for NCRA and 10 for Halifax.  Should they not fill, further communication about openings will be sent out.
