Fundraising

Team may decide to fundraise to help pay for team expenses such as attending tournaments. 

Please review By-Law #9 Fundraising and Expenses. In particular be aware of the following for recreational teams:

Teams may plan, budget and fund raise only for the following purposes:

• a. Tournament team registration fees
• b. Additional ice time
• c. Referees for exhibition games
• d. Costs for yearend banquet and/or trophies to a maximum of $500.

Fund raising for any other items not mentioned above must be approved by the Executive

• a. Teams shall not raise funds for the following without written approval from the executive:
• b. Team jackets/sweaters
• c. Team track suits
• d. Team hats
• e. Team equipment bags
• f. Any personal ringette equipment
• g. Team meals (other than the year-end banquet mentioned above).
• h. Additional costs for year-end party/trophies/year end gifts. (Must be financed by parental contribution)
• i. Team or individual travel expenses
• j. Tickets to sporting events or other entertainment
• k. Sweater name tag

The President and the Fundraising Coordinator must be advised and approve of the event or project and dates prior to commencement.

The “Form 121 - Sanctioned Event Application” located on the NS Ringette website http://www.ringette.ns.ca/assets.asp must be completed for ALL fundraising events that do not take place during a game or practice to ensure the appropriate insurance is in place. This form MUST be submitted to the President of NCR.

As well, the appropriate licences or permits must be secured from the Licensing Section of Alcohol and Gaming at: (902) 424-6160.
